Boishakhi TV Logo Design Competition Result

Dear all,
It’s been almost one and a half year since Boishakhi Television announced a logo design competition. The announcement was to design a new logo for the Boishakhi Television network. The announcement of the competition was made via their TV channel's news scroll section. We also published the announcement in Distorted Designers back in (2008).

10 members of DD community submitted more than 90 logos to the Boishakhi Television. As far as we know, approximately 1100* logos were submitted from all over Bangladesh. Recently(28th July, 2010) Boishakhi Television has started using the new logo which was originally designed and submitted by Shahid M Asif through DD. Other participating members are - Absi, Afroza, Biplob, Bappy, Francis, Liton, Rajiv, Sarah and Shabbir.

Unfortunately Boishakhi Television didn't contact the designer directly or via DD before using the logo. Recently they have started to contact with the designer regarding this issue. We are expecting they will complete all the further formalities with the designer soon.

DD is going to arrange an interview session with the winner of the Boishakhi Television logo design competition regarding the logo concept and design, its modifications and the current status of the events related to the usage of his logo on a national television. You guys are most welcome to ask your questions here in this thread, which will be answered by the designer from his point of view.

Thanks a lot everyone that you liked it. I am preparing a brief process of this logo design from the scratch along with other samples. I will share with you guys once I'm done. Just pray for me that Boishakhi will complete their further steps regarding this competition.
