Idea breeds idea.
Since this is an interior design company try something which relates interior stuffs. Table, chair, corner, window etc. search for few interior stuffs in web/book. Client may want these in mind. But they can't express. So show them as much as options. Search lively in your room, furniture shops. These actually helps lot while you are stuck. I usually follow below steps before design any logo. You can try.
Step 1: List all relative keywords(synonym).
Step 2: Google(Image) those and save related images. [by this I find lot more ideas/keywords to search]
Step 3: Go thorough my Logo books [those who don't have books can go through Logo sites]
Step 4: Sketch all the possible ideas
Step 5: Finally Illustrator
Spend few times in brainstorming before start any logo. IT HELPS. and again remember "Idea breeds idea". so beshi beshi logo dekhen. kichu idea collect howar por oigula shape koren...Inshallah bhalo kichu ber hobe

Google image is a very good idea.
R material diya jodi kono idea na pan...then straightly go with conceptual typography.

I would say try everything. I try every possible combination. At the end of the work I developed more or less 15-25 samples with different combination. Let me give some clues:
1. Initial: it means pick the first letters of the company name. for an example: GP (Grameen Phone), MKT (Madan Kumar Tek) etc
2. Symbolic:chair, table, corner and other related possible options
3. Display Type: Kind of typography
4. Encloser: within a circle/square/triangle or any defined shape
5. Animal: Only if the company name or work relates any bird/animal
6. Star: So many companies have their logo with STAR. you can try if they like.
