What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Mony this is not a font let me clear. Designing website or any graphical materials we need dummy texts when the original texts are not available/not supplied by the client. for that cases we use like this:

which does not gives a feel to approver(client or who actually approves the design) that how his design looks like when submitted originally. Its sometimes disturbing when you see overall design at a first look. In these cases you can put "Lorem ipsum...." which gives the viewer original text looks in the mock up design. Its internationally practiced but not mandatory. I use this texts for any mock up designs for official and other freelance purposes. If I need long paragraph then I generate 2/3 paragraphs from that site, there is a option. So where dummy texts required you can use.
