Thanks everyone who joined my webinar :cheergirl:

We had a good discussion. Few of you asked relevant and appropriate questions. I want to summarise my answers here.

Q. Have you collected any data of how many people have missed this feature?

A. No we didn't set up anything to capture that. We were relying on store feedback and consistent usage of this feature throughout the year. However business does have plan to take this feature into next step which may potentially cover -
  • Find out problems with the current solution (Store feedback + Usability testing)
  • A/B Testing - this can be cheaper and quicker with a slight change. Get real-time data
  • Ideation workshop - to diverge ideas
Q. Can this problem be solved by generating magic codes?

A. Although we didn't think about the magic code solution, but from my understanding, current solution is simpler (from user end) and faster to implement. This solution doesn't require to share the purchase receipt or anything with the nominated person. All they need to show their ID to collect the item.

Q. What if someone else with the same name collects the product?

A. Yes this can happen. That's why staffs always record person's ID. This is a very common practice in Australia. For any fraud activities like this, our legal team takes care of these situations.

Please feel free to ask any question here.

Thanks :dd:

Hello Asif vai, I have completed your session and it was tremendous. I loved it. (B)
Just want to share my idea with you for my learning purpose.

Why are you not asking the user at the very beginning by giving him two choice- Who will pickup the product?
A. Self
B.Other person.
If other person then the text box will visible.
Choice (Radio buttons) will be a mandatory field. So user never miss it.

Thanks for the question Samad and welcome to DD (R)

You've got a valid question. The radio button would be an excellent option to consider. Since we didn't know how many people would be using this feature, we didn't want to disturb the current checkout flow for the user. We had an assumption that almost everyone would pick up their products by themselves except a few. So for that "few" number, the business didn't want to experiment with anything which may hinder the checkout flow.

Now we have data and that is quite significant number. So definitely it is worth for business to spend time on this to take this feature in to next level.

You know what, business is talking about this feature now. Looks like very soon we will be picking up this story again to improve the experience. All the ideas that you guys have shared already would be worthwhile to consider for second phase. I will keep you guys updated.

Thanks :dd:
