Perhaps Company X always uses orange for their company logo. When this color of orange is defined, it could be warm orange, dark orange or light orange. This is why most printers and designers rely on a color matching system, like the Pantone® system, a color system that helps color consistency.
Now question can arises like that “Why does my Pantone Swatch look different from the other swatches?” When we add the Pantone solid coated swatch, we notice a black spot and triangle in the lower right corner of the swatch.

As a default, the Pantone solid coated swatch is defined as a Spot color; hence, the black dot. A spot color is not created from a combination of CMYK inks but is its own solid ink color. A press operator uses a pre-mixed PMS (Pantone Matching System) color in the press, offering consistency and better color accuracy. Sometimes a message is shown when we want to save an artwork that contains spot colors. Pantone color is widely used in garment industry.
The triangle indicates that this color is Global. If this color is edited, all color references used in the illustration are updated. Any color can be Global, not only Pantone colors. Global colors like Global Red, Global Green, Global Yellow etc.
