well here is my point... what I can understand and what I know is every logo should have a perfect balanced in every aspect. Just look at the 3 sample logos you given here. They are complicated logo but they have proper balanced in all the way. But see your one.... LOW is on the left and the content is on the right but not in same aligned ... it has a different angel. Logo can be complicated and could have different angle but all should have a within a proper area. This is my opinion, I dont know what is the view of others. Because I have never seen this type of design as a logo.

so logo can be complex and colorful now. example- Australian Government Logo (complex), ebay (colorful-7colors like my one). I hope these examples will change our mindset about a logo.

ya you are right that the logo is bit immbalanced. I will try to fix that. but the angle and the "proper area" seems fine to me. thanks a lot for the constructive comments. I'll be careful abt this issues in my next logo.

Hmm, interesting logo. Although I am not an expert or know much about logo but in general sense this is what I felt initially

1) At first glance I thought that bag was a sandal, cuz I was associating sandals with the word travel, you know traveling places. The I realized why I didnt think it was a travel bag. The little legs at the bottom of the bag are missing. I dont know maybe adjust the shape a little bit.

2)I wouldnt say its colorful, the colors are muted and pleasing to the eyes but i agree it could use a bit of balancing. I mean the 'cost travel insurance' part and LOW could use a little bit of balance. Also i dont know if the client wanted to focus more on LOW word, but right now when i look the word LOW is drawing all my attention and 'cost travel insurance' part is lost in the background. I think the elements are nice as it is just need to tweak and move things around. The LOW in black is popping out too much for me to notice anything else. Just my 2 cents. =)

good catch- sandal part. I will try to fix that.

another logo for travel insurance site. interesting part is the site is designed before the logo. all the characters of this site are illustrated by a well known cartoonist of Australia David Follett and the site is designed by Barry Murray. after all I got chance to develop the logo for this site here I have to change the gesture of the kangaroo a little bit to fit in the logo. preliminary sketches of this logo is attached. comments and critiques are appreciated. cheers!
