Good questions Pagol mama
Things I have in mind while creating web layouts are :
1. Look n feel - I tried my best to give a site a kind of look n feel which will serve the most in its audience/target group (joto sohoje bollam kajta toto sohoj na r beshir vaag somoy e thik moto korte pari na
kintu ekhono shikhchhi r improve korar chesta korchhi)
2. Use of right Content and Components : Based on the needs as much as possible to get the highest outcome
3. Think outside of the box : Always try to put something that will make the site not similar to many
3. and most of all a design that is not so complex to convert to html
- thats it
Regarding valid xhtml and valid css practice - no I don't till now - because I am too lazy
But I know its importance - and have determined to practice it in my future projects

mmmm suggestions would be:
1. make sure you got the passion for design
2. make sure you know the opportunities in this filed and select the one that suits you best
3. good training/knowledge on your filed of interests
4. and finally practice, practice and practice to improve - no stopping or pause

I got introduced to photography in college - specifically there is a club called Nature Study at Notre Dame College and I am a member of this club. Photography course is a regular activity of this club and I took part in one of the course. After college I bought a film slr camera Zenit 122 at that time and used it for couple of months before sold it to gather money for my first pc. Since then photography is in my mind only. I started taking picture again when I bought my sony ericsson k750i mobile - it has a 2mp camera - still i use it occasionally. But actually started semi serious photography after buying the D40 digital slr last year (june 08)
The reason behind liking photography is that we can capture sweet moments of our life through this - also capturing the beauty of nature is the most attractive filed of interest to me.

Yes there is a relation - in short it is also a creative media. Most of the time designers need images in the designing process and many collects it from stock image sites but sometimes some designer need more than that and for this they shoot their own images through photography
A good image itself can represent a thought, idea - and some post work on an image can make it an art - so some designers love photography.
In both photography and design there are some common things - like composition, light-shadow, tone, balance - framing etc. and so its easier for a designer to understand design better and vice-versa
Hope you got it.
